The cosmopolitan vibe of Milan’s Fifty House Soho

by Barbara Palladino

Fifty House Soho is the latest achievement in the Fifty House Hotels chain, following the success of Fifty House Cellini and Asian restaurant Kowa. Designed by architect Alessandra Vaccari, is was conceived as an homage to Italian Lifestyle, welcoming guests in a space that feels like a refined sitting room. The hotel’s vibe is cosmopolitan and eclectic, based on a mix of velvet, brass and marble, paired with a palette that spans from slate gray to deep red, to blue in all of its hues.

Located in the Porta Nuova district, not far from Corso Como, the hotel is at the heart of Milan’s most happening area and is just as elegant as its surroundings. The foyer features two fireplaces, Driade armchairs and couches, and Fontana Arte lighting that provides contrast to the furniture’s dark and deep colors. Wooden paneling, bookcases and pieces by artist BISHA add exceptional touches everywhere you look.

The thirty-six rooms and suites are decorated with the same palette as the foyer, and divided onto different floors. The bar – with its multi-level bottle display in brass tubing – is the perfect place to sip fabulous cocktails, a relaxing tea or a drink with new business partners, in a contemporary and exclusive atmosphere.
